Simple….Love simple
Great video. I learned a lot about fishing around bridges. I wasn’t getting deep enough in the water before, but will try what you suggested. Thanks.
What is a good starting weight for getting down to the bottom without snagging up?
Love a slip cork around bridges and pilings..
Great Video! I fish in New Smyrna and under out two bridges the current just rips all the time. I’m gonna try a 2oz sinker with a big bobber and a bobber stop to get me a couple feet off the bottom with live shrinp / cut bait and just let it float like you instructed. There is a lot of things to get hung up on so if I keep it a couple of feet off the bottom, hopefully I won’t lose large amounts of tackle. What do you think of this game plan?????
I recommend against bobbers when fishing bridges because the key is getting down to the bottom where most of the action is happening, and a bobber will prevent that. Using a weedless shrimp rig should minimize the risk of getting snagged as long as the current flow isn’t too fast. If it’s a bridge with very fast current to the point it’s tough to control your baits/lures, then save those bridges for periods close to the turn of the tides. And during peak current flow periods, target some docks that aren’t in the main flow.
Thanks for the response.
