How I Found Fish (and a Slam) in Unfamiliar Waters

Every angler knows the feeling: you launch into new water and suddenly… you’ve got no idea where to start. But here’s the thing: that challenge doesn’t have to be intimidating… it can be exciting.

In this video, you’re jumping right in the kayak with me as I fish water I haven’t been to in a long time. You’ll see exactly what I’m looking for, how I read the conditions, and the moves I make to zero in on feeding fish fast.

Yea but wait you said you have already fished this spot before only its been a long time so in reality you still know somewhat where to start looking for fish because you obviously know about structure bait and probably how current and tide moves in that particular area because of your past outings kinds diffent then an area you have never fished before but I understand because saltstrong is constantly getting new members to join and some have never even been fishing before maybe never even been out on the water either so this info is crucial for them to begin in there learning process but to me its common sence and you learn that by more time spent on the water one unfortunatly must fail from time to time to become a good angler because we learn from our mistakes its human nature because the only human who NEVER made mistakes and was a human at one time 2000 or so years ago was Jesus christ but we are not the son of God so we fail from time to time and thats how we all learn but like my father used to say as long as we learn from our failures that’s what matters most thanks for the info pat and all you do🤔😉👍

Another excellent tutorial Pat. while paddling my wooden Old Town canoe early morning in the Weeki Wachee River, steam coming off the surface as it was a cold day right at first light 2 giant mullet jumped into my canoe. what an exciting moment. about scared me half to death as it was an eerie time on the water as everyone else was still asleep and it was so quiet until that happened.
